Righting Israel’s wrongs

Oh, Heavenly Father if you would permit me

To right Israel’s wrongs

They disobeyed you from the throne

Didn’t hear your call, and you didn’t even need a phone

By the mouth of the prophets was your tone

Oh, Heavenly Father, we were wrong

You delivered us from many captivities

Even sent your Son so that we could all see

We still didn’t believe

We rejected you, after we all knew

Your majesty

How could this be?

That we could slay our King?

We are guilty

Oh, Heavenly Father

I Beseech thee

May I stand in the gap and repent from this misery

May I right the wrongs so that all evil could not come to be?

Accept me as a sacrifice

So that all Israel may think twice

About how nice you’ve been

Even named us, your own kin

Your promises have no end

May you grant the work of my hands

That it may save the household of your land

That I may right all the wrongs,

This is my daily new song
